How to Hydrate Your Locs
Daily hydration is key to healthy, happy locks.
Understanding your hair’s porosity helps you choose the right products and avoid dryness or build-up. A consistent hydration routine doesn’t need to be complicated, it’s all about layering moisture the right way:

Meet Yvonne, founder of Lox & Tex™ and loctician based in the United Kingdom. Her journey began in her mum’s salon in Ireland since 2008, where she spent years learning the art of hair care and styling. From relaxed hair to natural hair to now microlocks, her own hair story inspired her to create a safe space that celebrates individuality, diverse textures and self-expression.
Now, she’s helping others embrace their hair journey with confidence, creativity and care.

Hi, I'm Yvonne and founder of Lox & Tex. My hair journey has always been something special to me. Being a salon kid, I've learned everything I know about hair from years of hands on experience. I started my loc journey in May 2023 after being 6 years on my natural hair journey and now my goal is to help you on your own journey.
