Booking Policy
By booking an appointment with Lox & Tex, you acknowledge and agree to all booking and cancellation policies stated below.
These policies help us manage time fairly, provide the best service for every client and maintain a respectful environment for all.
Booking the correct service
Please make sure to book the right service type for your hair and service needs.
Booking the wrong service may lead to rescheduling or additional fees, as extra time or adjustments may be required.
If you’re unsure which option to choose, please message us before booking, we’re happy to help.
New and transfer clients
All new and transfer clients are required to have a free consultation before their first appointment. This helps us assess your hair, discuss goals and schedule the correct appointment and service.
If you're transfer client (with existing locs), you may still book your appointment in advance, but your consultation must be completed before your service date.
Arriving on time
Please arrive on time or a few minutes early for your appointment.
Arriving late may shorten your service time, result in a late fee or lead to rescheduling.
We kindly ask that you plan travel, parking and preparation time accordingly.
Respecting our space and staff
Please be respectful of your appointment time, our working environment and staff at all times.
Failure to maintain respectful behaviour (including rudeness, harassment or disruptive conduct) will result in permanent prohibition from booking future appointments or engaging with our brand or services.
Payments and balances
Remaining balances are due on the day of your appointment.
Additional charges may apply for extra services, extended time or late fees where applicable.
We currently accept cash and bank transfer.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
Chargebacks or unauthorised payment disputes are strictly prohibited. If an issue arises, please contact us directly so we can resolve it professionally.
Any client who initiates a chargeback without prior communication may be permanently restricted from future bookings.
Some services require a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking.
Deposits go toward your total service cost and confirm your appointment time.
Failure to pay your deposit within the stated timeframe may result in your slot being released.
Remaining balances are due on the day of your appointment. Additional charges may apply for extra services, extended time or late fees where applicable.
A free consultation is required for all new and transfer clients before any installation or maintenance service. If you're a transfer client, you’re welcome to book your appointment in advance, however, your consultation must be completed before your service date.
Consultations help us discuss your hair type, goals, installation method, maintenance routine and recommendations.
Paid consultations may apply for specific services such as loc repairs or curly ends extensions, which require an in-depth assessment.
Please arrive on time to ensure we can complete your appointment.
If you’re more than 10 minutes late, your appointment may need to be shortened, rescheduled or incur a late fee.
A £20 late fee applies for arrivals over 10 minutes late.
Delays over 30 minutes may result in cancellation, additional fees or loss of deposit.
Repeated lateness may lead to booking restrictions for future appointments.
We understand that things can come up unexpectedly, and we’re happy to accommodate reschedules or cancellations where possible.
Please provide at least 24–48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment (subject to availability).
Same-day cancellations may result in a 50% charge or loss of deposit, depending on the service.
Reschedules made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in loss of deposit.
Deposits for appointments rescheduled within the proper notice period will be carried over once to a new date. After this, a new deposit may be required to secure another slot.
If you need to reschedule an overdue retie or consultation, please message us directly to ensure you’re rebooked appropriately.
No-shows or missed appointments without notice may result in a 100% charge or loss of deposit.
Frequent cancellations or short-notice reschedules may affect your ability to book future appointments.
Prices for installations and reties depend on factors such as hair length, desired style and loc count.
Quotes for installations will be confirmed during your consultation.
Additional fees may apply for overdue reties, extensive repairs, or styling.
Remaining balances are due on the day of your appointment. Extra charges may apply for added services, extended time or late fees where applicable.
All deposits are non-refundable. Deposits secure your appointment time and are applied toward your total balance.
Refunds of deposits will not be issued for:
Completed appointments/services
Same-day cancellations and reschedules
Late arrivals or missed appointments or no-shows
Paid consultations
If we must cancel your appointment for any reason, your deposit will be fully transferred to a new booking or refunded at our discretion.
